Two Italians on the podium in the slalom World Cup in Wengen: Giuliano Razzoli second in 1:38:15 and Stefano Gross third in 1:38:53. The victory, fourth of the season and eighth in his career, went to the Norwegian 21 year old Henrik Kristoffersen in 1.37.85.

Federica Brignone on the podium in the giant slalom World Cup in Flachau. It’s the eleventh in career for the Italian athlete, who finished third in 2:30:50. The race was won by Germany Viktoria Rebensburg in 2:29:51 ahead of the Slovenian Ana Drev in 2:20:45. Italy created three more athletes in the top ten: sixth Nadia Fanchini (2’31”34), seventh ex aequo Francesca Marsaglia and Manuela Moelgg (2’31”36).

Historic success for Federico Pellegrino, who won the sprint of Planica, in Slovenia, preceding the French Gros, Jouve and Jay. With this first place (the fourth season, all in speed events) he becomes the most successful Italian cross-country skier in the history of the World Cup. It’s the seventh seal for him: he passed Pietro Piller with six wins (5 victories to Zorzi, 3 Silvio Fauner).
