The gold in the 1500 meters of Paltrinieri allows the Italian team’s return from Kazan with 14 medals (3 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze): it was exceeded the proportion (12 medals) reached in Fukuoka in 2001.
Italy achieved the seventh place in the medal, but the other good news is that for the first time all disciplines made the podium.
